How to Solve Calcudoku & KenKen Puzzles Faster
KenKen and Calcudoku require combining mathematical factoring with Latin square elimination. By solving single-cell cages (freebies) first and analyzing restrictive operations like division and large products, you can quickly establish anchors across the grid.
01. Division & Factor Pairs
In a 4ร4 grid, a `2รท` cage can only be formed by (2, 1) or (4, 2). In a 5ร5 grid, a `5ร` cage can only consist of 5 and 1. These limited factor combinations severely restrict where digits can go.
02. Candidate Notes (Pencil Mode)
Use the pencil mode to note down remaining possible values. When a row or column has only one cell that can contain a given digit, you can confidently commit that number.
