Lingo is the fast-paced television word game popularized worldwide. Unlike modern word puzzles where you start with a blank grid, Lingo gives you the first letter right out of the gate!
🔴 Red Ball
The letter is in the word and in the exact correct position. It locks in for subsequent tries!
🟡 Yellow Ball
The letter is in the mystery word, but located in a different column.
🔵 Blue Ball
The letter is not contained anywhere in the hidden word.
Winning Lingo Tactics
- Second Letter Testing: Since the first letter is known, use guess 1 to test popular vowels (A, E, I, O) or consonant blends (CL-, TR-, ST-, BR-).
- Carry Forwards: When a letter turns red, it will guide your future guesses automatically. Focus on shifting yellow letters into new positions.
- Word Suffixes: Endings like
-ER,-ED,-ES, and-CKare common in 5-letter English words.
