How to Play Octordle
Octordle is the ultimate test of multi-board word deduction. Instead of solving a single Wordle or even four boards in Quordle, you are challenged with 8 separate secret words solved in just 13 guesses.
🟩 Green (Correct Slot)
The letter appears in that exact slot for that board.
🟨 Yellow (Wrong Slot)
The letter is in that word, but in a different position.
8-Segment Keys
Each letter on the on-screen keyboard displays 8 tiny colored dots showing status across each board.
Winning Strategies for Octordle
- Use 3 Diverse Starter Words: In Octordle, guessing three complementary starter words (e.g.,
CRANE,SLOTH,BUMPY) burns through 15 unique letters and illuminates almost all 8 boards before you make your first targeted guess. - Knock Out Low-Hanging Fruit: Look for boards that already have 4 green letters and lock them in to reduce mental clutter.
- Leverage Board Tabs: Tap any individual board tab (B1 through B8) on mobile or small screens to zoom in and examine specific letter positions with clarity.
