About LinkedIn Tango & Sun-Moon Logic
Tango is one of the breakout hits in LinkedIn's daily games suite alongside Queens and Crossclimb. Rooted in classic binary logic games like Takuzu and Binairo, Tango tasks players with balancing celestial symbols—Suns (☀️) and Moons (🌙)—across a 6×6 grid using pure deductive reasoning without guessing.
⚖️ Equal Balance
Every row and column must contain an equal number of symbols: exactly 3 Suns and 3 Moons.
🚫 No Triples
You can never place three identical symbols side-by-side: no ☀️☀️☀️ or 🌙🌙🌙 horizontally or vertically.
🧩 Border Clues
A = badge means the adjacent cells must match. An × badge means adjacent cells must be opposites.
Pro Strategies for Solving Tango
- Trap Pairs: Whenever you see two identical symbols side-by-side (e.g. ☀️☀️), both exterior flanking cells MUST be the opposite (🌙).
- Sandwich Trick: If two cells of the same symbol have one blank cell between them (☀️ _ ☀️), the middle cell MUST be the opposite (🌙) to prevent a triple.
- Equal Constraint Chains: Two adjacent cells joined by = must be identical. If one is known, the other is immediately revealed!
- Counting Remaining Symbols: If a row already has 3 Suns placed, every remaining empty cell in that row MUST be a Moon.
