How to Play Letter Boxed
Letter Boxed is one of the most rewarding daily word games. Your goal is to form chained words using the 12 letters placed around the edges of a square until every single letter has been used at least once.
1. Opposite & Adjacent
You can never pick two consecutive letters that sit on the exact same side of the square.
2. Word Chaining
Every subsequent word must start with the final letter of the word you just spelled.
3. Beat Par
Most puzzles can be solved in 2 to 3 words. Strive to match or beat the par word count!
Tips & Strategies for Letter Boxed
- Look for Compound Suffixes: Words ending in "-ING", "-ED", "-TION", or "-NESS" allow you to clear tricky consonants quickly.
- Save Common Pivot Letters: End your first word on flexible letters like "S", "E", "R", or "T" that give you maximum options for your second word.
- Target Hard Consonants Early: Try to incorporate letters like "B", "F", "V", "W", "X", or "Z" on your first word so you aren't stranded later.
